Whole 30 2: Day 16

Finally made a different breakfast! Scramble with onions and prosciutto with a side of blueberries. I started cooking my breakfast in ghee, which is clarified butter, which is a Whole 30-approved fat. It’s derived from dairy, but all the milk solids are removed. It tasted so good with the onions. Prosciutto is an air-cured ham and it’s sugar free, just seasoned with salt. 

My lunch was the same as my dinner from last night. Thai turkey, green beans, and broccoli.

I flipped my lunch and dinner because I had more spaghetti squash with turkey meat sauce and roasted Brussels sprouts. My cravings were so out of control tonight! I wanted Parmesan cheese to top my food with, so I scrounged around my pantry for a substitute and found some pine nuts, which tasted amazing!

I decided to make a coconut latte with decaf coffee, coconut cream, and a packet of Vital Protein collagen peptides, which are great for healthy skin and hair and don’t have any flavor so you can mix them in anything. I whipped the whole thing with this little milk frother I got at World Market. This helped with some chocolate cravings. I notice that when I crave sweet, if I have something bitter, like coffee, it really counteracts my chocolate cravings.
