About Me

I’m a scientist and wine lover with a major crush on food. In the pursuit of healthiness (and deliciousness), I launched Chow Bella in 2009. This blog tells the story of my goal to optimize my health and the discovery of the Paleo Diet in 2011. If you’re looking for Paleo and gluten-free recipes that make you feel good on the inside and the outside, you’ve come to the right place!

Recipes: which I update regularly. Since my day job is a research scientist in the wine industry, many of the recipes are quick and easy for your weeknights. I do love low-and-slow cooking over the weekend, so you’ll also find date night and dinner party meals as well! My sources of inspiration are meals at restaurants that I want to recreate, foods from around the world that I want to make Paleo, and my own imagination!

Monday Musings: these are my monthly posts where I ponder the complexities of life and hope you feel inspired and motivated when you read them.

Fashion: I love dressing up. On the occasion that I’m not grubby from the vineyard (which typically is from May to September), I love posting outfits of the week (OOTW).

What I Ate Wednesday: Just like it sounds, I take you through a full day of eating! Sometimes it’s perfectly Paleo, other times I might have fallen face-first into a pint of ice cream. But life happens and you get to see it!
