If you’ve been following my Instagram feed, you’d have noticed I’ve been doing some travelling lately. Last week I went to Washington for a conference, followed up by a little vacation in British Columbia. The weather was clear the whole time, which I was told was a rare occasion for the Pacific Northwest. It was almost hot a couple days as we hiked around Lion’s Bay. Upon returning to California, the weather turned extremely hot. It’s been triple digits in Napa and I’ve spent several days outside at the hottest part of the day. So just like my previous salad roundup, I think it’s great to focus on meals full of cooling seasonal fruits and vegetables to keep from warming up that kitchen.
